VANDELEUR AVENUE 20.10.32 Constructed on the Craigentinny Estate owned by the Christiemiller family one of whom, Sydney Richardson Christiemiller married in 1904 Evelyn, daughter of Hector Stewart Vandeleur of Kilrush.
VENTNOR TERRACE - Ventnor is a watering place in the Isle of Wight which is associated with Duncan McLaren on whose ground the street was built. Duncan McLaren was a former Lord Provost and M.P. for Edinburgh. His wife and one of his sons were in poor health and he used to send them to Ventnor for the benefit of their health. In a letter to his son Charles Bright McLaren dated 11th May 1862 he states that "I left Ventnor and got home safe having left London at 9 in the morning. I hope you as being the oldest boy at Ventnor will take good care of your Mamma".
VICTOR PARK TERRACE - Named from the house known as "Victor Park" at the top of this cul-de-sac.

Corporation St. Leonard's redevelopment in which there formerly existed a street Upper Viewcraig Row from which these streets derived name. A good view of Salisbury Crags can be obtained.
VIEWFIELD ROAD 18.12.38 Viewfield Farm was formerly situated at the junction of Muirend Avenue and Lanark Road which was probably named thus because of the good view obtained from here of the fields that existed prior to the construction of Wester Hailes housing.
VIVIAN TERRACE 6.3.24 The owner of the Muirhouse Estate, on which the street is constructed in 1924, was Mr. Mathew Mather and he named the street after his eldest daughter Vivian Theodora Netta Mather.
