INDUSTRY LANE - In 1883 property in this street was owned by Joseph Taylor, Architect of Carron Works, Falkirk. Carron Works, still in existence, has been noted for Iron foundry work which could be described as heavy industry.

INGLIS GREEN ROAD - Formerly part of Hailes Quarry Road. Inglis-green was an old laundry, bleaching and dye works. It may be connected with John Alexander Inglis, one time owner of estate and house of Redhall. The name is quite old however as an advert in the Edinburgh Advertiser of 1788 read "Mr. MacWhirter of Inglis Green, Bleachfield, bleaches in the best manner at the following prices etc."

The streets were constructed on the site of house and grounds of Inveralmond former home of Lord Salveson, Shipping Executive. Obviously name is from River Almond adjacent.
